Jaye P. Morgan is an American pop singer and actress born on December 3, 1931, in Mancos, Colorado, USA. She achieved significant success in the 1950s, charting twenty-four times in the U.S. between 1953 and 1971. Notable hits include "That's All I Want from You," which reached #3 in 1954, and "The Longest Walk," which peaked at #6 in 1955. Morgan's early hits began in 1953 with "Just a Gigolo" (#22) and "Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries" (#26). Over her career, she recorded more than twenty albums from 1954 to 1995. Morgan was part of a musical group with her four brothers and recorded 45s while performing on television. From 1954 to 1955, she was a vocalist on the ABC television series "Stop the Music." In November 1955, she was recognized as the top female vocalist in the U.S. by the British music magazine NME in a Cash Box poll. In 1954, she was a featured singer on the CBS-TV show "The Robert Q. Lewis Show." By 1956, she had her own program, "The Jaye P. Morgan Show," and made guest appearances on various variety shows.
