Jaye P. Morgan is an American pop singer and actress born on December 3, 1931, in Mancos, Colorado, USA. She achieved significant success in the 1950s, charting twenty-four times in the U.S. between 1953 and 1971. Notable hits include "That's All I Want from You," which reached #3 in 1954, and "The Longest Walk," which peaked at #6 in 1955. Her early hits came in 1953 with "Just a Gigolo" (#22) and "Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries" (#26). Throughout her career, Morgan recorded over twenty albums from 1954 to 1995. In addition to her music career, Morgan was a vocalist on the ABC television series Stop the Music from 1954 to 1955 and was recognized as the top female vocalist in the U.S. by the British music magazine NME in November 1955. She was a featured singer on the Robert Q. Lewis Show on CBS-TV in 1954 and had her own show, The Jaye P. Morgan Show, in 1956. Morgan also made guest appearances on various variety shows and served as a regular panelist on The Gong Show from 1976 to 1978.
