Jean Conflict was a musical group formed in Tel Aviv, Israel, in the 1980s. Active for approximately five years before disbanding, the group included members from Minimal Compact, such as Malka Yo-Yo Shpiegel and Sammi Birenbach, along with notable musicians like Berry Sakharof, Ronen Ben Tal, and Rami Fortis. Jean Conflict played a significant role in defining the local New Wave sound of the era by blending Middle Eastern melodies with the characteristic style of 80s New Wave. Their music featured a distinct dark and ethereal quality, characterized by strong male and female vocals, particularly from Rami Fortis.
