**Bio: Jemini the Gifted One** Thomas H. Smith, known by his stage name Jemini the Gifted One, was an American rapper hailing from Brooklyn. He signed with Mercury Records and released his debut album, *Scars and Pain*, in 1995, which included the singles "Funk Soul Sensation" and "Brooklyn Kids." Unfortunately, the album did not achieve commercial success, leading to Jemini being dropped from the label. He subsequently released several singles through independent labels but was unable to produce another album. In 2003, Jemini collaborated with producer Danger Mouse to release the album *Ghetto Pop Life*, featuring contributions from artists such as Imani and Bootie Brown from The Pharcyde, The Alkaholiks, J-Zone, and Prince Po from Organized Konfusion. Shortly after the album's release, Jemini faced legal troubles, being arrested for narcotics activity, which hindered his ability to capitalize on the album's success. Jemini the Gifted One passed away on March 27, 2025.
