Jerry Fielding was an American orchestra leader and composer, born on June 17, 1922, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He passed away on February 17, 1980, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was the brother of another composer and was best known for his work in film music. A three-time Oscar nominee, Fielding collaborated with notable directors such as Sam Peckinpah, Michael Winner, and Clint Eastwood. His notable film compositions include "The Wild Bunch" (1969), "Straw Dogs" (1971), "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976), "The Enforcer" (1976), and "The Gauntlet" (1977), among others.
