Jerry Samuels was an American singer, songwriter, and producer, born on May 3, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York. He gained fame as Napoleon XIV, particularly known for his international novelty hit "They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" which charted twice—first in 1966, reaching #3 in the U.S. and #4 in the U.K., and again in 1973 when it reappeared at #87 on the U.S. charts. In his younger years, he wrote for various artists. Jerry Samuels passed away on March 10, 2023.
