Jesse Belvin was a rhythm and blues singer born on December 15, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas. He gained recognition for his work with the group The Shields, particularly for the song "You Cheated." Tragically, his career was cut short when he and his wife were killed in a head-on car accident on February 6, 1960, in Fairhope, Arkansas. He was also the brother of another individual, though their name is not provided.
