Jimmy Bowen is an American singer, bassist, songwriter, and producer, born on November 30, 1937, in Santa Rita, New Mexico. He began his career as a Rockabilly singer in the late 1950s and was a member of a band alongside other artists, although his career as a recording artist did not take off initially. Bowen was married from 1965 to 1969 and founded a music label in 1968 and another in 1988. In 1963, he was hired as a producer by Frank Sinatra, where he produced several notable songs, including the 1966 hit "Strangers In The Night," which reached No. 1 in both the US and UK and won three Grammy Awards in 1967, including Record of the Year. In the early 1970s, he moved to Nashville and became the president of several Country music labels.
