Jimmy Contreras is a Colombian salsa singer and songwriter, born in 1940 in Cartago, Valle del Cauca. He recorded his first song, "Viajera," in 1962. Throughout his career, he lived in various countries, including Ecuador, where he became a star and earned the title of El Rey del Boogaloo.
