Jimmy Gilford was a 1960s soul artist hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana. His professional career spanned five decades, during which he was recognized as "Entertainer of the Year" in New York, Detroit, and several other major cities across the country. While based in Detroit, he signed with Wheelsville USA and recorded a series of hits produced by the legendary Don Davis, including "Heartbreaker," "Misery Street," and the popular track "Nobody Loves Me Like My Baby." Many of these recordings continue to sell worldwide today. Jimmy Gilford passed away on August 20, 2024.
