Jimmie Haskell (born Sheridan Pearlman, November 7, 1926, Brooklyn, New York, USA – February 4, 2016, Laguna Niguel, California, USA) was a prolific American composer and arranger known for his work with various popular singers and in motion pictures. He played the accordion for a band called 'The Bachelors' and served as Composer, Music Supervisor, Musical Director, Music Conductor, Music Arranger, and/or Orchestrator for approximately 31 films, 32 TV movies, and 445 TV episodes. Haskell collaborated with over 20 symphony orchestras and contributed to numerous Broadway shows. He founded a notable organization in the autumn of 1979. Throughout his career, he received 3 Grammy Awards, 1 Primetime Emmy Award, and 2 Primetime Emmy Award Nominations, among other accolades. He composed, arranged, conducted, and/or produced over 135 Gold and Platinum albums and was honored with 3 Clio Awards, 2 Addy Awards, and 1 Cable Car Award. He was also a father.
