Jimmy Hiacynthe was a talented singer, guitarist, and arranger from Ivory Coast, born in Treichville, Abidjan. He is known for modernizing "Goly," a traditional Ivorian rhythm. Named after the legendary Jimi Hendrix, he developed a unique string pinching technique for playing guitar. Jimmy began his musical journey with the Bouaké orchestra Aboliba Jazz and achieved professional status with the Comoé Sisters, becoming the youngest professional guitarist in his country. He toured Africa with the M'bam Jazz Orchestra before joining Anouma Brou Felix's band. Later, he formed the group Bozambo in Europe and eventually returned to Ivory Coast, where he served as the artistic director of "La Société Ivoirienne de l’Industrie du Son." He passed away on March 19, 1991.
