Jimmy Lloyd, born James Lloyd Logsdon on April 1, 1922, in Panther, Kentucky, was a country and rockabilly artist known for his work with the Roulette record label. He also recorded under the name Jimmy Logsdon, releasing music on labels such as Decca, Dot, King, and Starday. One of his notable contributions to the rockabilly genre is the classic "I Got a Rocket in My Pocket," which was released in 1958. Jimmy Lloyd passed away on October 7, 2001, at the age of 79 in Louisville, Kentucky.
