Jimmy Reed was an American blues musician and songwriter, born on September 6, 1925, in Dunleith, Mississippi, USA. He passed away on August 29, 1976, in Oakland, California, USA. Reed was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 as a Performer. He is often miscredited for writing "Big Boss Man," which was actually written by another artist. Reed also wrote a song titled "Ain't That Lovin' You Baby," released one year later than the other artist's song.
