Jimmy Rogers was a Chicago blues singer, guitarist, and harmonicist born on June 3, 1924, in Ruleville, Mississippi. He is best known for being a member of Muddy Waters' band during the late 1940s and 1950s. Rogers achieved solo success on the R&B chart with hits such as "That's All Right" in 1950 and "Walking By Myself" in 1954. After withdrawing from the music industry at the end of the 1950s, he made a return to recording and touring in the 1970s. He passed away on December 19, 1997, in Chicago, Illinois.
