Jimmy Scott is a British-born songwriter whose works have achieved remarkable success, with over 15 million copies sold across various recordings by different artists. In 1975, he released a solo album that featured two singles. One of his notable songs, "Love Sneakin' Up On You," performed by Bonnie Raitt, received a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year. Scott has collaborated with co-writers such as Tom Snow and Beth Nielsen Chapman, and his songs have been recorded by a diverse array of artists, including Chicago ("You're Not Alone"), Amy Grant with Keb' Mo' ("Come Be With Me"), Ray Charles, Cher, Sting, Roger Daltrey, Jeff Healey, and Joss Stone, among others.
