Jimmy Thomas was a US soul singer born on January 20, 1939, in Osceola, Arkansas. He relocated to the UK in the early 1970s and settled in England, where he also owned a record label. Thomas joined the Kings of Rhythm in 1958 and collaborated with Ike and Tina Turner and The Ikettes until the mid-1960s. He passed away on April 25, 2022. He should not be confused with the writing pseudonym of the writer who created "Rockin' Robin."
