Jo Schornikow is an Australian songwriter who began her musical journey as a church organist and jazz pianist in her native Melbourne. She later moved to New York City, where she performed with various creatives and served as an accompanist for notable artists such as Hugh Jackman, Bobby Rydell, and Lana Del Rey. From 2008 to 2012, she co-led and wrote for the band The Shivers. Additionally, she collaborated on an EP with King Creosote and contributed keyboard work to projects by The National and Kelli Scarr. Jo eventually became a touring member of Phosphorescent.
