Joachim Sherylee is an alias used by Jacky Giordano for some of his own material and for co-writing credits on the original releases of Black Devil in 1978. These co-writing credits were maintained on reissued Black Devil material in the mid-2000s. In a 2007 interview, it was claimed that Giordano provided only financial backing for the original Black Devil release, and the writing credit was a means for him to recoup his investment. If this claim is accurate, Giordano's actual role was essentially that of Executive Producer, with Black Devil being an alias solely for Bernard Fevre.
