Joachim Witt is a German musician and producer, born on February 22, 1949, in Hamburg. He rose to prominence in the 1980s as a major star of the German pop scene, known for hits like "Herbergsvater" and "Der Goldene Reiter." Witt was a significant figure in the Neue Deutsche Welle movement, alongside artists such as Nena and Falco. He made a notable comeback in the late 1990s with "Die Flut," a duet with Peter Heppner, the lead singer of the synth pop group Wolfsheim. Even in his seventies, Witt continues to perform and release music.
