Joan Jett is an American rock singer, guitar player, record producer, and actress, born on September 22, 1958, in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. After her parents' divorce, she adopted her mother's maiden name, Jett. At the age of 15, she co-founded a band and later became the leader of another, achieving eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles. Jett has her own independent label and has acted in movies and television. She served as the executive producer of "The Runaways," a film based on a book titled "Neon Angel." In 2015, she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a performer.
