Joan Of Arc is an indie/experimental band based in Chicago, IL, formed in 1996 from the remnants of another group. The lineup initially included Tim Kinsella, Mike Kinsella, Sam Zurick, Erik Bocek, and Jeremy Boyle, all of whom were members of Cap'n Jazz. The original formation changed when Mike Kinsella began focusing on other projects, leading to the departure of Zurick and Bocek, who went on to form another band. Tim Kinsella and Jeremy Boyle then added Todd Mattei to the group and collaborated with various friends and acquaintances for their subsequent albums before disbanding in 2001. In 2003, Tim Kinsella revived Joan Of Arc, this time without Boyle but with the return of Sam Zurick. Since then, Tim has continued to lead the band, featuring a rotating cast of musicians, including occasional appearances by Mike Kinsella and Todd Mattei.
