Joanna Shimkus is a Canadian actress born on October 30, 1943, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She began her career as a model in Paris before transitioning to film in the mid-1960s. Shimkus is best known for her roles in "Les Aventuriers" (1967) alongside Alain Delon and Lino Ventura, and "The Virgin and the Gypsy" (1970).
