Joe Ariwa is an engineer and producer, known for being the son of a renowned artist and technician. He began his musical journey at the age of two when he connected a guitar amp to his father's mixing desk. Growing up in Ariwa Studios, he was heavily influenced by the environment, gaining hands-on experience in engineering and the music business during his school years. After completing secondary education, Joe pursued various music technology courses to enhance his academic knowledge before joining Ariwa Studios full-time. He worked in multiple roles, both in the studio and on the administrative side. With access to the Ariwa archives, Joe discovered vintage multi-track tapes recorded by Mad Professor, which he began transferring for live Dubshows. This effort led to the re-release of some tracks on vinyl, which received positive feedback from fans. By 2006, Joe had become Mad Professor's right-hand man, assisting with song selection, performing as the opening act, and developing his skills as a mic man. During this time, he also ventured into his own production work, releasing several albums and collaborating on a dub series with Mad Professor.
