Joey Beltram, born on November 6, 1971, in Queens, NYC, USA, is recognized as a leading innovator in the early development of underground dance music. He began DJing as a hobby in 1983 at the age of 12, focusing on early electro and hip-hop. In 1985, he transitioned to house music when the first wave of Chicago house arrived in NYC. By 1989, Joey started releasing his early productions on various small New York record labels while working as a courier. A year later, he gained significant attention in Belgium, leading to the release of his first major record, "Energy Flash," in mid-1990. Throughout the 1990s, he produced some of the most timeless music for cutting-edge labels of the decade. In 1999, he formed a new label, under which he currently records as both JB³ and Joey Beltram.
