John Drevars is a musician known for his involvement in the band Expression, which was associated with the well-respected Globe Show hosted by Chris Shakespeare and managed by Dave Jay. Expression specialized in soul, Tamla Motown, and mod music, featuring a frequently changing lineup. Notable members included former Earth Angels Derek Edmond on drums and Melvyn McCrae on guitar, along with Colin 'Angel' Wilsher on bass, Geoff Vaughan on organ, and Keith Bennett on saxophone, who contributed to the band's distinctive sound. Melvyn Day briefly replaced John during his time with the group. Bennett and Shaw had previously played with The Big T Show, and Shaw was later succeeded by Ritchie Hayes, who had been part of the Chris Shakespeare Movement. After Drevars transitioned to the Globe Show, the remaining members formed a new band called Inflatable Toy, excluding Bennett. McCrae later joined the heavy band Refuge, while Wilsher moved on to Joker and then Tramp. Barry Palmer on saxophone joined Expression alongside Ritchie Hayes on keyboards after Geoff Vaughan's departure from the ever-evolving lineup.
