John Fred & The Playboys was a US bubblegum and psychedelic band formed in 1956 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The band featured John Fred on vocals, along with a talented lineup that included Andrew Bernard on baritone saxophone, Ronnie Goodson and Charlie Spinosa on trumpet, Jimmy O'Rourke and Hal Ellis on guitar, Harold Cowart, Billy Johnson, and Andy Tarrant on bass, Tommy Degeneres on organ, and Lester Dodge and Don Kendrick on drums.
