John Lee Hooker was an influential American blues singer-songwriter and guitarist, born on August 22, 1912, in Tutwiler, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, USA. He passed away on June 21, 2001, in Los Altos, California, USA. Hooker is best known for his iconic songs, including "Boogie Chillen'" (1948), "Crawling King Snake" (1949), "Dimples" (1956), "Boom Boom" (1962), and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" (1966). His later albums, such as The Healer (1989), Mr. Lucky (1991), Chill Out (1995), and Don't Look Back (1997), achieved chart success in both the U.S. and UK. In recognition of his contributions to music, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 as a performer. He was the father of a child born in 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, and was also a cousin of another individual, though their names are not provided.
