John Prine was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born on October 10, 1946, in Maywood, Illinois. He co-founded an independent label that released his records from 1981 onward. Prine was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the 2020 Grammy Awards. He passed away on April 7, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.
