John Scofield is a Grammy Award-winning American jazz guitarist and composer, born on December 26, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio. He has recorded and played with various artists and was a member of a notable group for two years. He has also recorded with other musicians and joined another ensemble, before touring and recording with yet another group. John has been married since 1978 and is the father of two children, including Evan Scofield, who lived from 1987 to 2013.
