Johnny Greenwood (born 29 July 1939) is an Australian country music singer known for his contributions to the genre during the 60s and 70s. He was born in Brisbane and spent his early years in Goondiwindi and Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, before moving to a farm in Bracewell, Mt. Larcom, Central Queensland at the age of eight. Later, he relocated with his parents to a garage and fuel depot in Mt. Larcom. Greenwood obtained a guitar in his teens and began performing at local dances and concerts. He moved to Brisbane to advance his career and became a popular performer throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Greenwood also appeared on numerous television shows, including Brisbane Tonight, The Late Show, and Reg Lindsay’s. His career included touring in England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, and Tripoli, as well as recording in England.
