Johnny "Dandy" Rodriguez was an American Latin percussionist, known for his skills on the congas and bongos. Born on September 11, 1945, in New York City, he was the son of another Latin percussionist. Throughout his career, he played with various orchestras and formed a group in 1972, remaining a member until 1979. He later became the leader of another ensemble. Johnny Rodriguez passed away on August 17, 2024, in Las Vegas.
