Jon Keliehor is an American composer and percussionist residing in Glasgow. He has developed a distinctive catalogue of percussion-based compositions for contemporary dance, ballet, theatre, and film. His works have been created for notable institutions such as the London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Royal Ballet, Lindsay Kemp Theatre, Theatre of Lies, DanzaHoy, and Cornish College of the Arts. He is also the director of Luminous Music, a company dedicated to innovative percussion performance and educational projects. Keliehor's recent music is featured in various recordings, including "The Beginning of Time," "Fables of Forests and Light," "Return to the Time of Dreams," "Class V," "Celestial Nile," "Create Music," "Ocean of Dreams," "East Meets West," "Trance Gong for Gamelan Pacifica," and "Adrift and Afloat for Gamelan Naga Mas," all available from Luminous Music. Born in 1941, he was an original member of the 1960s West Coast pop band The Daily Flash and Bodine. Additionally, he has been a member of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and has served as an associate musician, tutor, and composer at the London Contemporary Dance Theatre.
