Jorginho Gularte (February 16, 1956 – September 6, 2013) was a Uruguayan composer, producer, guitarist, and singer born in Porto Alegre, Brazil. In the early 1970s, he became involved with the Uruguayan "candombe beat" movement, exploring fusions with blues, funk, and soul. Gularte recorded four solo albums: La Tambora, Influencia, AlmaZen, and Fata Morgana, showcasing his skills as a percussionist and guitarist while creating innovative candombe compositions.
