José Rómulo Sosa Ortiz, known as José José, was a renowned Mexican singer, author, actor, and music producer, born in Mexico City on February 17, 1948. Often referred to as the "Prince of Song," he achieved remarkable success in the music industry, selling over 250 million records and becoming one of the most successful Latin American singers in history. His music transcended language barriers, reaching audiences in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Japan, Israel, Egypt, and Russia. José José passed away on September 28, 2019, in a hospital in Homestead, Florida, at the age of 71.
