Joya Mooi is a versatile Amsterdam-based singer and conservatory-trained musician known for her unique blend of jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. With South African roots, she offers insights into the experiences of a new generation from the African diaspora, exploring themes of relationships, identity, and belonging in her music. Her most recent album, "The Ease Of Others," was released in 2019. Joya has also released the albums "Hard Melk" (2010) and "Crystal Growth" (2013), as well as the EP "The Waiting Room" (2017).
