Juan Garcia Esquivel was a Mexican band leader, pianist, and composer known for his work in television and films. He is widely regarded as the 'father of space-age lounge music.' Born on January 20, 1918, in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, he started his own band, Sonoramica, at the age of 19. Esquivel passed away on January 3, 2002, in Jiutepec, Morelos, Mexico.
