Judie Tzuke, born on April 3, 1956, in London, England, is a singer-songwriter known for her contributions to the music industry. She was raised by an English mother and a father of Polish descent. After receiving an education in the arts, music, and drama, Judie began writing poems that she transformed into songs by the age of 15, performing at folk clubs with her acoustic guitar. In 1975, she met a collaborator, and together they wrote songs that led to her first releases. After recording demo tapes, they secured a record deal with a label associated with David Bowie and T.Rex's producer. Judie adopted her family's original surname, Tzuke, and released a single recorded and produced by Tony Visconti under the name "Tzuke and Paxo." In 1977, she signed with a prominent label and, along with her collaborator Mike, spent six months recording her debut album in London. Her first single, which garnered critical acclaim and significant airplay, was released in the summer of 1978. In 1979, she released "Welcome To The Cruise," which featured a single that remained in the UK charts for 16 weeks.
