Julie Rufino was a Cuban singer, composer, and poet, known for her extensive body of work, which includes 598 songs and hundreds of poems. Following the death of her father, "Papá" Ruffino, in 1973, she embarked on a solo career and performed as a duo with her mother, Mamá Ruffino, from 1974 to 1984. Julie Rufino passed away on January 5, 1987, in Miami.
