Julien Mier is a composer, instrumentalist, and sound sculptor, primarily recognized as an artist. He graduated from the School of Arts & Technology in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Mier describes his work as a combination of found sounds and objects, creating a cascade of melodic, textural, and rhythmic patterns. He aims to blend seemingly pointless musical fragments into meaningful compositions. Mier began his musical journey in 2009 with the release of "Have Courage, Funny Thing," followed by a 12'' record titled "The Galaxy Twitch." In August 2012, he released the acclaimed EP "When Will You Wake Up?" which included a conceptual videoclip filmed in Canada for the single "Watercolour Sky." In 2013, Mier released another 12'' record called "Jane's Junkyard," along with a remix EP of "When Will You Wake Up?" featuring remixes by Robot Koch and others. He has released music on various labels, including Cascade, King Deluxe, Shipwrec, Lowriders Collective, Project Mooncircle, Schematic, and Squelch & Clap.
