Jumprava is a Latvian pop-rock and synth-pop band that gained significant popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s and remains active from time to time. Their music is primarily in Latvian, which has limited their success outside of Latvia. However, Jumprava stands out from other local bands due to their experimental approach, incorporating diverse sounds from folk music, everyday life, and synthetic sources. This distinct style has led to them being referred to as the "Latvian Depeche Mode." The current members of Jumprava include Aigars Krēsla, Aigars Grauba, and Ainārs Ašmanis. The band was originally formed with several members, including Ingus Ulmanis, Aigars Votišķis, Māris Jurjāns, Hermanis Kaminskis, Ainars Vilde, and Antonija Breidaka, who were part of the group from 1984 to 1987.
