June McDoom is a musician hailing from South Florida, where she was raised in a Jamaican household surrounded by reggae music. Her early exposure to these sounds laid the foundation for her later discovery of a deep love for the folk music and songwriting of the 1960s and 70s. While pursuing a degree in Jazz Performance in New York City, her musical influences expanded to include jazz and early soul. Recognizing a lack of representation in vintage folk music, McDoom is committed to creating a unique musical space that pushes folk music towards a new and diverse audience.
