June Tabor is an English folk singer born on December 31, 1947, in Warwick, England. She gained recognition in 1976 with the album 'Silly Sisters' and released her solo debut, 'Airs and Graces,' later that same year. Tabor collaborated again with Maddy Prior under a duo name. In 1990, she recorded an album with a folk-rock band. Her contributions to folk music were recognized in 2004 when she was named Folk Singer of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
