Juniore is a musical project created by Anna Jean, the daughter of French writer J.M.G. Le Clézio. Known for her contributions to Parisian electro acts like Jackson & His Computer Band, Jérôme "Tacteel" Echenoz, and Bot'Ox, Anna Jean leads Juniore, which initially included four other female musicians. The band's sound is a unique blend of surf, psychedelica, French female sixties pop, and space age music, produced by Samy Osta, who has worked with artists such as Rover, La Femme, and Louis Chedid. Anna Jean's haunting voice evokes the spirit of 60s icons, combining elements reminiscent of Nico and Françoise Hardy, as she sings about themes of sleep deprivation, restlessness, and falling out of love.
