Junkie XL, originally a live act formed in 1995, debuted in 1997 with the album "Saturday Teenage Kick." Although it was technically a group, all tracks were created and produced by Tom Holkenborg, born on December 8, 1967, in Lichtenvoorde, The Netherlands. The project became a solo endeavor when Rudeboy left after the "Big Sounds Of The Drags" album. In 2003, Tom relocated from Amsterdam to concentrate on composing music for video games and films. He frequently collaborates with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer on movie scores while also working on solo projects.
