Juta Takahashi is a musician born in 1959 in Miyagi, Japan, who spent his childhood and teenage years in Aomori. Influenced by progressive rock and synthesizer music during his teens, he moved to Tokyo to pursue his education, which marked the beginning of his musical career. Initially a guitarist playing rock music inspired by bands like King Crimson, he eventually shifted his focus to electronic music. Now based in Sendai, Miyagi, he creates music as an independent artist using synthesizers and computers. Takahashi draws significant inspiration from electronic and ambient musicians such as Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Vangelis, and Pete Namlook. His music is characterized by its beautiful, calm, emotional, and melodic qualities, though it occasionally features aggressive sounds reflecting his rock background. Preferring analog instruments over digital ones, his work emphasizes improvisation rather than programming. He released his first commercial album in August 2007 and has since released a total of eighteen albums.
