K-Solo, born on April 17, 1968, in Brentwood, Long Island, New York, is an American rapper known for his unique lyrical style that features spelling out words within his rhymes. He was an original member of a collective and collaborated with various artists throughout his career. K-Solo gained prominence with his debut album, Tell the World My Name, released in 1990, which included the hit single “Spellbound.” His follow-up album, Time's Up, came out in 1992. In the mid-1990s, he signed with a label, but his recorded material with them was never officially released. K-Solo has also been involved in notable feuds, including a longstanding dispute regarding the origins of the “Spellbound” concept.
