Kai Winding was a renowned bebop trombonist born on May 18, 1922, in Aarhus, Denmark. He gained fame while playing with Stan Kenton's orchestra from 1946 to 1947. Throughout his career, Winding collaborated with notable musicians such as Miles Davis, Benny Goodman, and fellow trombone legend J.J. Johnson. He passed away on May 6, 1983, in New York City, New York, USA.
