Kaidi Tatham is a British multi-instrumentalist, producer, remixer, DJ, and artist, often referred to as the 'Herbie Hancock of the UK' due to his exceptional keyboard skills. He is recognized as a pioneering figure in the West London broken beat sound. Born and raised in Redditch, just south of Birmingham, Tatham received classical training from a young age and moved to London in 1993 to pursue a BTEC in Performing Arts. In London, he connected with fellow musicians, notably contributing to the release "Blowin' It" in 1995. His work at West London studios led to collaborations with influential artists and the formation of a strong musical bond with Dego, co-founder of the influential group. Tatham has DJ'd globally and worked with various London production outfits, solidifying his status as one of the most influential British musicians of his time. His musical contributions span numerous projects, including collaborations with notable artists and session work for various musicians. Tatham's second solo album, released in 2008, pushed the boundaries of electronic dance music, showcasing his innovative approach to time signatures and arrangement. Originally released on a Japanese label, the album gained a mythical status among dance music fans and jazz enthusiasts, especially after its digital release in 2020.
