Kalevala is a Finnish rock group founded by Juha "Lido" Salonen in 1969. Initially, the band included other members who left in the early 1970s. Their debut album was released in 1972, featuring progressive rock music with English lyrics. After disbanding in 1974, Kalevala reformed with new members. Their second album was released in spring 1975, but shortly after, the band's guitar player tragically died in a traffic accident. Despite this loss, the band continued and released their third album in 1977. Following the album, Kalevala toured in Poland and France but ultimately disbanded again after their tours in 1978.
